HOA Exterior Painting & Color-Approval Help in Tallahassee
Repainting in an HOA neighborhood? We help assemble the color and scope information associations ask for, then paint to what's approved.
In many Tallahassee neighborhoods you can't repaint your exterior until the association approves it. Canopy Painting helps homeowners, boards and managers plan around that process.
Why approval comes first
Take Killearn Estates. Killearn Homes Association says all exterior alterations, including exterior painting, need Architectural Control Committee (ACC) approval. Applications for exterior painting include color samples, a description of the areas to be painted with which colors, and a photo of the project area. The ACC meets on the 2nd and 4th Tuesdays of the month, and no work may start until you have written approval (source: killearn.org). Every association has its own rules, so check yours.
How we help
- Walk the exterior and write a clear color/area list
- Provide product and color information for your application
- Plan the start date around review timelines
- Paint to the approved scope
For boards and managers

Questions
Do you submit the application for me? Usually the homeowner submits it, and we supply the color and area details. What colors get approved? Each association decides. Killearn's ACC says it can deny colors that conflict with neighborhood harmony (source above).
